Long Arm Services

My name is Katherine “Girtie” Girton. Quilting is my lifelong passion! I’ve turned that passion into a retirement career helping others finish their quilting projects and achieve their quilting goals. I make every effort to ensure that your quilt is treated with the utmost care, stitched to perfection in a clean, smoke-free environment and returned to you in a professional and timely manner.

Whether you have created a keepsake quilt or a utility quilt, I can accommodate your wishes with custom quilting, edge to edge or a combination of quilting patterns to suit your desires. All my quilting is done free hand with occasional use of templates, patterns, rulers and chalk guide lines when a project requires. Hence, you should expect some variation in the resulting work. I usually use Superior thread, but have other brands as well. I carry a wide variety of batting materials, from natural to man-made. Binding service and designer labels (first one free to all customers) are also available. With reasonable prices, friendly, attentive service and prompt turn-around times, I can be your trusted source for heirloom-quality quilting.

I work on the calendar system, so bring in your quilt for an estimate and reserve a date. I’d love to show you what magic we can accomplish together! Finished quilts are returned in a timely fashion. I am fully insured. The studio is open Tuesday through Friday and at other times by appointment.

I love long arm quilting. The only thing that gets in the way of my quilting is my life. With the help of my husband and my wonderful teachers my “all things quilting spirit” is alive and well. Quilters are special people who inspire you and make you feel alive.

Long Arm Quilting Estimator

Our online estimator tool can give you a quick idea of typical Longarm quilting charges. Additional fees may apply for materials or labor which may be needed to finish your project. To estimate your quilting charge, please enter the width, length, any optional services, and shipping or pickup. We strongly recommend calling or stopping by to discuss your specific needs. This allows us to give you a more precise estimate of what your project will cost to have completed.

*** Please be sure and add 6" on all 4 sides of the backing fabric example: quilt top width 78" add 12" to width and quilt top length 96" add 12" to length = quilt backing 90"x 108". If you choose a dense quilting pattern this is the minimum backing required. Call me if you have questions before you cut.
